Hailing from Clarendon, Jamaica, Gareth Powell, affectionately known as Chef G, inherited the art of West Indian cooking from his grandmother, Ms. May. Inspired by his roots, he pursued culinary and hospitality training at the renowned Runaway Bay Training Institute on Jamaica's Northern coast.

Prior to coming I called and I guess it was the AI that helped me. They told me they were open today. I drove from Sealy to get here and they’re closed until tomorrow. They need to change that AI so I can tell customers that they’re closed and don’t make them drive so far.

This was my family and I's first experience eating Jamaican food and I have to say it was amazing! The fish was excellent and the mac and cheese as well. My wife even ate it and she doesn't usually like fish or pasta but she couldn't resist it. 100/10 would definitely eat it again. Update: Came back to say that their ocean water and the dessert cakes they sell are absolutely amazing. Everything is homemade and fresh to order. It really was the highlight of our trip.
