When freshly cooked chicken is packaged immediately while it is still hot, condensation from the steam can build up inside a closed container. This can sometimes create an unusual smell, especially when the chicken is traveling a long distance. During the summer, the outside heat can make this even more challenging, particularly if the food is in a hot car for an extended period of time. For customers traveling far, we encourage you to let us know so we can provide ice to help keep the chicken properly chilled. We also recommend opening the container slightly to allow the steam to escape and letting the chicken cool before closing it completely. We wish you had contacted us when you noticed the issue so we could have helped.
