Very nice authentic Indian food restaurant. It gives you a feel of upscale restaurant at the miderate pricing. We had buffet on Sunday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Staff was cooperative and friendly.

My husband and I visited Bombay Brasserie with our parents to explore the restaurant as a potential catering option for our upcoming wedding. We were hoping to find a place that would help make such an important occasion special, but our experience left us deeply disappointed and uncomfortable. During our visit, the owner made racially stereotypical comments in front of both of our families, saying something to the effect of, “Indian people are the best. We are smart and brainy. Black people are good at sports; they’re big and muscular.” We were honestly shocked. To hear a restaurant owner make such broad, racially charged generalizations in a setting where prospective customers were gathered with their families was incredibly inappropriate. Praising one racial group as inherently intelligent while reducing another to physical characteristics and athletic ability is offensive and perpetuates harmful stereotypes. It is especially concerning coming from someone in the hospitality industry, where every guest should feel welcome and respected. Choosing a wedding caterer requires trust that the people responsible for such an important day will treat our families and guests with professionalism, respect, and consideration. Unfortunately, the owner’s comments raised serious concerns and completely changed our impression of the establishment. A wedding is a celebration of family, love, and bringing people together. We cannot imagine entrusting such an important occasion to a business whose owner would make comments like these in front of potential customers. We ultimately left with a very different impression than the one we had hoped to have. Regardless of the quality of the food, hospitality begins with how people are treated, and this experience fell far short of our expectations. We would not feel comfortable choosing Bombay Brasserie for our wedding catering, and we hope the owner takes a serious look at the impact of these comments.
