Came here for a birthday dinner and would not go back. They offered still water without mentioning that it costs $9 a bottle. My underage cousin said still water while sitting with one other person. I was in the bathroom and the others were still on their way, so the rest of us weren't aware of that choice. When the second bottle came around, I approached the waiter separately to ask whether there was a charge. He brashly told me I would be paying and insisted I was the one who had said still water. He later corrected himself, acknowledging that someone else at the table had said it and that I had been in the bathroom. I let it go and paid, but the lack of price transparency and the way he handled a simple question left a bad impression. For a birthday dinner, I'd suggest going elsewhere for a better meal and hospitality. The viral KFC dish reminded me of karaage and didn't live up to the hype for me. There are other Filipino restaurants worth trying instead.

If you’re looking for Filipino hospitality, you won’t find it here. The service, especially from the rude host, flat out sucks. You will be made to feel like an inconvenience from the moment you enter. The food? My pork tocino was 60% fat and largely inedible. The garlic rice it came with was cold. My wife is Filipino and had been looking forward to trying this place… what a disappointment this was for her. This place just feels like another Manhattan TikTok money grab.

The food was amazing, but service was lackluster. They really pressure you to arrive on time (they make you text when you arrive, they remind you they’ll give up your table after 15 min). Meanwhile we arrived 3 min after our scheduled reservation, and didn’t get seated for almost 20 min. And then our coursing came out a bit quick and they just didn’t seem very attentive. We had to ask for water, and it never got refilled during the evening.
