Sumathi is the original owner of Shivas Bar & Grill Dallas TX and the creator of Banana Leaf, Bombay Bar & Grill, and Bombay Express in Lexington, KY. Golden Leaf represents the next chapter of her journey, offering refined Indian cuisine enriched and warm, welcoming service.

Outstanding food, service and ownership! Golden Leaf is BY FAR the best Indian restaurant in Lake Highlands and the surrounding areas. Amazing (and very large) menu, with every single dish crafted with love and care. Also a really fun bar area with some inventive and unique cocktail options. LH residents…we’ve been waiting a long time for an Indian restaurant of this caliber in our neighborhood. You deserve the opportunity to enjoy this food, and the owners of Golden Leaf 100% deserve our patronage!

Beautiful decor, a welcoming atmosphere, and delicious food that tasted authentic! The owners were very friendly and have curated their own recipes. The chicken lollipops were delicious and perfectly spiced, the chicken tikka was juicy, and the paneer was well seasoned. We also loved the onion bhajji and the flaky naan, especially the chili naan. The mango lassi was amazing, a wonderful addition to a great meal!
