Gaia Masala & Burger New York

Food - I almost felt bad that the food wasn't the best because the service was great. The breakdown: = Tikka Masala - the sauce was great but thick and not sufficient and had small cubes of chicken; not complimentary of the price! = lamb burger - ok, but again, missing the mark. I make a killing lamb burger, and this wasn't close. = spicy (jalapeño) cheese naan - new to us but delicious Service - great! Atmosphere - relaxed

By far, one of the best places to eat in Astoria. The vibes are immaculate and the food is fantastic! Everything is so flavorful and inspired. Indian + American fusion is such a great flavor combo. Tons of veggie, vegan, and halal options for all your needs. As a vegetarian, my favorite dish so far is the paneer tikka masala. Stuffed with veggies, mushrooms, paneer cubes, a nice thick mozzarella coating, and a wonderful blend of spices. The service was excellent. Our server was so kind and attentive. He even began to remember our usual order after just 2 visits. Seriously, do not sleep on this place! Give it a try! :)

This place is amazing! They legitimately have better samosas than most Indian restaurants in the neighborhood. The fusion concept might be baffling on paper but it works and tastes so well!
