Unfortunately, this restaurant was a huge disappointment. The food took far too long to come out, and when it finally arrived, it was raw and completely unacceptable. The prices were excessively high for the quality of food and service we received. On top of that, the staff was inattentive and made little effort to check on us or address our needs. For the prices they charge, I expected much better food, service, and overall dining experience. The long wait, undercooked food, and lack of attention made the entire experience frustrating and not worth the money. I would not recommend this restaurant and would not return.

Ordered the chicharrón with tostones, and while the food itself was delicious, the overall experience was disappointing. Some of the menus displayed a price of $8.99, while the updated dine-in menus listed the same dish at $18.99. When I asked the cashier about the discrepancy, he confirmed that the price was now $18.99 and explained that the portion was supposedly double the size of the $8.99 serving. Unfortunately, what I received was certainly nowhere near double the portion. It looked like a single serving at more than twice the price, which honestly felt like a rip-off, especially after waiting nearly 45 minutes for the food. I also wanted to order a side of rice and beans, but apparently they don’t offer them separately, which was another disappointment. On a positive note, the chicharrón and tostones were excellent. The chicharrón had a wonderfully crispy, crunchy texture, and the squeeze of lime paired perfectly with the flavorful green sauce. The food definitely has potential. The restaurant was extremely busy during Saturday lunchtime, and the dining area is quite narrow and cramped. I can’t imagine it being particularly comfortable for larger groups, especially during peak hours. Colombiche is a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and I genuinely want to see it succeed. However, if you’re going to charge $18.99 for chicharrón with tostones, the portion size needs to reflect that price. Great flavors alone don’t make up for poor value, long wait times, and inconsistent menu pricing. Hopefully, these are things they can improve upon.
