Terrible. Save your hard-earned money and give this place a miss! 🇬🇧 Brits, be warned: this is absolutely nothing like the authentic curry houses we know and love. Where do I even start? We ordered a bottle of still water for the table, which resulted in complete confusion before a bottle of sparkling water was eventually brought over. We had to ask for this to be changed. When ordering, the waiter didn’t know what pilau rice or saag aloo was. We appreciate there are regional differences, so we were happy to explain and move on. Instead, we ordered poppadoms with accompaniments, butter chicken, chicken madras, onion bhaji and a garlic naan. The poppadoms never arrived, and the curries were quite honestly some of the worst we’ve had in a long time. The butter chicken was served with sliced chicken that was massively overcooked, dry and unpleasant to eat. The sauce was lukewarm and tasted as though it had simply been reheated. The madras was a strange yellow colour, and my husband had absolutely no idea what curry he’d been served, but it certainly wasn’t a madras. The garlic naan was tasty, but let’s be honest, it’s difficult to get garlic naan wrong! The service was virtually non-existent. Nobody bothered to ask whether everything was OK, and when our table was cleared, the dirty cutlery was simply left behind. This made it difficult to enjoy a game of Uno while we finished our drinks. We honestly couldn’t wait to get the bill and leave. I would not recommend this restaurant, particularly to travellers accustomed to a higher standard of food and service. It has, without doubt, been the worst meal of our 10-day trip to NYC. Save your money and eat somewhere else!
