We were greeted very warmly and felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. The service was very good and attentive, the waitress was incredibly sweet, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and hospitable. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the same standard. The pan con bistec had a very thin piece of steak, no onions, and was mostly bread, lettuce, and tomato. The croqueta was also mostly breading, with very little filling. The sandwich had no cheese, only one piece of ham, and was missing butter. As a Miami native with a Cuban husband, we are very familiar with authentic Cuban food, and unfortunately, the food was not up to the standard we are accustomed to. It felt as though some of the dishes had been adjusted or “Americanized” for the area rather than staying true to their traditional Cuban flavors and preparation. We genuinely enjoyed the hospitality, which is why I hope this feedback is taken constructively. The young lady at the front made us feel very welcome, and I would love to see the food reflect that same level of care. I hope you take the feedback to heart, reconnect with the roots of the cuisine, and allow those authentic Cuban flavors to shine through. There is definitely potential here.
