My husband and I stopped at Sunset Lotus last night for a quick dinner before catching a show at the Straz Center. Unfortunately, what should have been a great date night ended terribly. We ordered the salmon sashimi, a Philadelphia roll, a roll topped with eel, and a roll topped with tempura shrimp. Shortly after, I came down with severe food poisoning. I was so sick that it completely ruined our evening. The convenience of the location to the theater absolutely does not make up for the illness that followed. I wanted to leave this review as a warning to others, and I will be reporting this to the health department so they can look into their food handling practices.

I’ve been visiting Sunset Lotus for about 8 months. The staff are wonderful. The food is great and it’s reasonably priced. Yum yum!!!
