This place was terrible. I wish I could rate a zero. The Pho was awful, wings were salty and the egg rolls were so so. I ordered the brisket pho (27.00) and my girlfriend ordered the combination pho (29.00). The Pho was so greasy that it looked like someone had drizzled Crisco oil over the surface, and the broth was flavorless. We tried adding fish sauce, srirachi and hoisen, still awful. We tried to explain to management that both dishes were not edible, but the owner seemed to not care at all. She offered no discount, stating they don't offer any refunds when dishes are prepared correctly. She had no respect or appreciation for her customers. We will never go there again. The 2 bowls of Pho were disgusting! The broth felt slimy, and left a weird film in my mouth. Noone should ever consume that much fat. And, my friend actually developed diarrhea as were leaving the restaurant. Stay away from this place!

Dear Tina, As the owner who personally spoke with you during your visit, I feel it is important to clarify several details in your review. We respect everyone’s personal taste and understand that our food may not be everyone’s preference. However, there is a difference between not enjoying a dish and describing it as completely inedible. During your visit, your companion finished the meat and broth, leaving only the noodles, while you finished the noodles and left some broth. This is quite different from the impression given in your review that both bowls were inedible. Our beef pho broth is carefully prepared through a six-hour cooking process using our own recipe. We have proudly served our community for 10 years, and we take great pride in the quality of our ingredients and the dedication of our kitchen team. You also mentioned requesting fish sauce, when the request was actually for soy sauce. While a small detail, accuracy matters when sharing a public review. Every restaurant has its own cooking style and philosophy. We respect that you may prefer the flavor of pho served elsewhere, but a difference in personal preference does not mean our food was improperly prepared. When we spoke, I listened to your concerns and explained our refund policy. Declining a requested discount does not mean we lack respect or appreciation for our customers. We take food safety concerns seriously, and we stand behind our food preparation standards. We welcome honest, constructive feedback, but we also believe our hardworking team deserves a fair and accurate representation of the experience. Sincerely, Owner SEN Organic Small Plate

I have been writing restaurant reviews for many years, and this is one of the few times I have had such mixed feelings about a restaurant. To summarize our experience: * Very expensive, especially considering the portion sizes. * Very small portions for most dishes, with the exception of the $97 Master Stone Pot Phở and $99 Hot Pot. * Great service overall, with a friendly and attentive waiter, although several mistakes were made. * A significant pricing issue: The restaurant failed to remove outdated menus and was unwilling to fully honor the listed price. * A 3% credit card fee is added to the bill. *Our bill averaged about $70 per person, including tax and tip. This was the most expensive non-upscale Vietnamese restaurant I have ever dined at. While the food was generally delicious, the quality and portions did not justify the price. We shared all the dishes family-style, and here is our experience in the order the food arrived. *$19 Sài Gòn 5-Spice Pork Short Ribs - The pork ribs were sweet and tangy, with tender meat that fell right off the bone. This was an enjoyable dish. *$15 Cauliflower Bites – The cauliflower itself did not have much flavor, but it was very good when paired with the dipping sauce. *$12 Golden Potato Pie – I was shocked when this appetizer arrived at the table. It was so small that it was barely enough for one person. With four of us sharing, everyone got only a small taste. Unfortunately, the portion was so underwhelming that I barely remember the flavor. *Bún Chả Giò with Pork - This dish was decent, but there was a pricing error. Our waiter charged us an additional $10 for the pork protein instead of the $8 listed on the menu. Although the difference was small, it was a mistake that should not have happened. At $33 for the dish, I expected more in terms of flavor and ingredients. It was acceptable, but not particularly memorable for the price. *$33 Royal Fried Rice with Chicken – My daughter had been really looking forward to trying this dish. Unfortunately, the fried rice arrived in a small serving dish without any chicken. When we brought this to our waiter’s attention, Duncan kindly offered to check with the kitchen. However, we were nearly finished with our meal before a generous portion of sautéed chicken slices was brought to the table separately. While we appreciated the gesture, this was not what we ordered or expected from a chicken fried rice dish. The fried rice itself was delicious and well prepared, but the portion was too small for a $33 dish. *Master Stone Pot Phở – This dish arrived when we were almost finished eating. The presentation was beautiful, and the stone pot was enormous. The sliced beef brisket was flavorful and tender, while the short rib and oxtail were cooked well and served in generous portions. Unfortunately, the beef broth was disappointing. Instead of the rich, deeply flavored broth I expect from a good bowl of phở, it tasted salty and diluted. The menu listed the dish at $57, but we were charged $97 because the restaurant had switched to a larger pot without updating all its menus. Although the manager offered a $20 discount, the final price was still $77. I would not have ordered it at that price and believe the restaurant should have honored the listed menu price. *Another thing that bothered me was having to pay a 3% credit card fee on top of an already expensive meal. I understand that businesses incur credit card processing costs, but I would prefer those expenses to be incorporated into the restaurant’s pricing rather than added to the customer’s bill. *Despite the mistakes, we really liked our waiter, Duncan. He was friendly, attentive, and pleasant throughout our meal. We appreciated his efforts to address the issues, even though the final resolution was disappointing, but it is not his fault. *Although the food was generally delicious, the high prices, small portions, pricing errors, delayed dishes, and poor resolution of the menu-price dispute overshadowed our experience, and we will not be returning.

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for recognizing the quality of our food and Duncan’s attentive service. We would like to clarify that our current $97 Master Phở Hot Pot is designed to serve four guests, featuring significantly larger portions of premium beef cuts, including short rib, oxtail, and brisket. The $57 price on the outdated menu referred to a smaller version of this dish. We acknowledge that the outdated menu caused confusion, and we sincerely apologize for the miscommunication. Our team offered a $20 discount in an effort to resolve the situation. At SEN, we take pride in our thoughtfully prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and fair pricing. We value constructive feedback and remain committed to improving our guests’ experience. Thank you for dining with us.
