Delicious food, very friendly service. Went with several people who had never had Ethiopian food and everybody loved it.

We visited for lunch on a weekday around 12:30 PM. The restaurant was nearly empty, which made the service issues harder to overlook. We came specifically for Ethiopian food, so we were pleasantly surprised to learn the menu also includes Indian options. That is a nice combination. Unfortunately, when we tried to order from the Ethiopian menu, we were told the food was not ready -- at 12:30 in the afternoon. We were directed to the Indian menu only, which was a bit of a letdown given why we came. We asked to share a vegetarian thali, and the waiter told us firmly it was for one person and that we needed to order two. We ordered an additional dish to comply. It turned out to be very generously sized -- we easily could have shared it. A simple, honest response from the server ("many people order one each, but you are welcome to share if you prefer") would have been helpful and would have saved us from over-ordering. The push to order more felt unnecessary. Before the food arrived, the plates placed in front of us were visibly dirty. We asked for replacements, which were provided without issue -- but it should not have come to that. The food itself was genuinely good. The thali was flavorful and well cooked. The menu listed dessert as part of the thali. After we finished eating, we asked about it, and the server informed us that dessert was not being offered that day. This was never mentioned when we ordered. We were not offered any adjustment to the price, which in our view is simply not fair to the customer. If a listed item is unavailable, that should be communicated before the order is placed -- not after. Bottom line: The food is worth trying. But be prepared for some rough edges in service -- including being steered toward ordering more than you need, and menu items that may not be available without advance notice.
