Sarajevo Grill brings the flavors of Bosnia to Astoria. The restaurant's awning reads "Since 1976," reflecting the owner's start running a ćevabdžinica in Sarajevo before bringing his craft to Queens. Today, our kitchen specializes in authentic grilled dishes, including our signature ćevapi, burek, and desserts, all made in-house by a family with more than 40 years of experience. Each plate is prepared in the tradition of Sarajevo's old ćevabdžinicas, with grilled meats served alongside fresh bread, from classic ćevapi to pljeskavica and Bosnian sausages. It was my first time having Bosnian food and I absolutely loved of every part of the experience of eating at Sarajevo Grill. Just warm atmosphere and awesome food. Perfect neighborhood eatery that allows you to experience another part of our vast and wonderful world. Definitely eat here :)
I ordered takeout and really enjoyed everything! It’s not often that I get to try Bosnian food, so this was a lovely experience. The stuffed cabbage rolls were especially delicious, with such a comforting, homemade taste. The soups were wonderful too. Everything tasted like a home-cooked meal. Delicious and authentic!
