Rice and Shine Asian Fusion Cafe

Food was delicious. Definitely coming back. Molly was a great server.

The menu and atmosphere were cute. I liked their takes on asian fusion, especially since they had filipino dishes! The main significant downside of this restaurant is their wait time for food. We got to the restaurant at 11:30am and it was packed at every table and people waiting to get a table. We put in our orders once we were seated around 11:45am. We got our food at 1pm!!! This was crazy and honestly sad because there are only 3 people working the kitchen it seems (they have an open kitchen layout so you can see into it regardless of where youre seated). All of our food was cold and the glaze on the ube waffles had already dried to a hardened crust. The spam musubi benny was way too salty! The hash browns were salty and spam is already extremely salty and overall I couldn't finish my meal because it genuinely made me feel nauseous. The ube waffle didn't really have any ube flavor. Lowkey the ube pancake mix from trader joes had way better ube flavoring and that's literally a box mix! I highly suggest visiting this restaurant perhaps on a weekday when there are less people. Or maybe even ordering take out from here. I plan on doing either option myself because I still want to support this small business and I really like their menu concept. On the plus side, they have a good variety of gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options and seem to be accommodating if you have other food allergies. The waitresses and other floor staff were very welcoming despite the hordes of people coming in.
