Rasoi, which means cooking, reminds me of delicious food cooked by my mother back home in India. Many of my fondest childhood memories include sneaking into the kitchen for freshly made snacks, sweets and basically a handful of anything my mom made. As I moved to different parts of the world, I kept missing the aroma and taste of my mother’s creation of flavorful dishes. This yearning led me from engineering to becoming a chef. I learned cooking in the busy streets of Delhi, transplanted the flavors to the busy streets of NYC and finally settled as a Head Chef in Virginia Beach. The food was delicious and the portions were large enough that we had plenty extra to take home for later, which I'm excited to be hungry again for. The woman at the front desk was a great host and was super sweet. Multiple other staff members also checked in on us to make sure we had a great experience. The decor inside was also very pleasant and colorful and the entire atmosphere felt very welcoming and comfortable. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area!
