Family-owned since 1988, New Delhi is Philadelphia’s longest-running Indian restaurant on Chestnut Street in University City near Penn and Drexel. All-you-can-eat buffet Tue–Sun (lunch $16.95 weekdays / $18.95 weekends, dinner $22.95) or a la carte — Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala since day one. Fresh tandoori, naan, vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options, and a full bar with $4 beers, shots, and wine by the glass all day. Walk-ins welcome; reservations for groups of 6+. Catering available. Kitchen and buffet close 30 minutes before listed closing time. Last seating is 45 minutes before close.

As good as a buffet can be so may be unfair to rate against restaurants because different service and food can sit for awhile before taking from buffet but not very long, just minutes, usually refreshed fairly often

Love this place. Great option to have a variety of Indian food at the buffet for about $20/person which can be a good deal w what Indian restaurants charge these days. Love tge goat curry, naan. Chai tea. Can also order off menu. Paod street parking near upenn campus. Staff are attentive and friendly.
