2/10 Anyone who has ever tried the real Turkish Doner, would know that this MyDoner is no where close to it. The meat was stale and not freshly sliced, the whole Doner was dry and had little amount of sauce and salad. On top of that its overpriced at 16$. The atmosphere at the restaurant was simple and the ambience was like some factory canteen. The staff were very friendly though. Still that doesn’t make up for the poor quality food. Update: ————— I ve actually lived in Berlin and know very well what original Berlin Doner tastes like. Compared to the original: - This one has no Krauter Sauce (or any sauce for that matter). - The bread used isnt typical Turkish fladenbrot, - The meat is definitely not freshly sliced - it actually seemed like precut pieces reheated in a frying pan. Sorry to say the Doner was a disappointment.
We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. However, we’d like to clarify a few important points. At MyDoner Chicago, all of our meats are prepared fresh daily — we do not use stale or pre-cut meat. Our kitchen is open, and every customer can clearly see how the döner is prepared and sliced fresh throughout the day. Our bread is baked fresh, and all ingredients are served daily. We understand that everyone has different tastes, especially when comparing traditional Turkish döner with Berlin-style döner, which we specialize in. Regarding pricing, we focus on offering high-quality, fresh, and clean food at a fair price. Many of our customers appreciate both the quality and value we provide. We would appreciate it if you could contact us directly and let us know exactly what you had, so we can better understand your experience and improve if needed.
