I use to go to the bay ridge branch of this exact restaurant multiple times a week. I’ve been searching for a good taco since I moved to bayside but nothing comes close. Imagine how excited I was when I saw the ‘coming soon’ signage 10 years later!! A dream come true 🙏🏻 I was skeptical so I spoke with the manager during their renovation- sure enough it’s the same restaurant. But now - the real question is if it’s as good as the original… let’s just say I’ve been going 1-2 times a week since they opened and the food has been improving with each time I visit! Some of the items are even better than I had remembered! I’ll say the first time I went - some items were under seasoned but they’ve fixed that the last time I went. The buffalo al pastor wings were okay the first 2 times but the third time I went - it was perfect. Good sauce and spice ratio with a great crunch. The guacamole is even better than the original - it lacked salt the first time but now it’s great and I love how creamy it is without mixing the extra stuff in. The drink I had (coconut mojito) was strong! They have an extensive menu but I’ve only had a couple things - I always crave the same items; Al pastor taco, lengua taco, carne asada taco, pastor buffalo wings, and guacamole with chips. Their home made flan is very good. The space is surprisingly big - good for groups in the back (yes I’ve already had a birthday party here and they brought the big sombrero hats) Overall a great addition to the neighborhood- will be coming often!
