We have eaten at La Cocina de Abuela several times, and every visit has been wonderful. A special shoutout to Jason—he is fantastic and always takes such great care of my wife, daughter, and me. We also miss seeing Enzo, truly the most handsome toddler boy I have ever seen! The Friday-only oxtail is tender, flavorful, and wonderfully mild. One suggestion for the kitchen: please consider putting the leftover broth on Too Good To Go! You could list it around 2:00 PM and set the pickup window for 3:50–4:10 PM around your 4:00 PM closing time—I would gladly pay a few dollars just to take that rich juice home for my rice and ramen. The Aguapanela is also an incredible value at $2—much cheaper than a Panda Express refresher, but noticeably more refreshing and natural. The little touches make a big difference, from the dedicated kids' play area to the raw rice in the salt shakers to keep humidity from clumping the salt. Outstanding hospitality, delicious food, and a spot we love supporting.
