If you’re looking for amazing Caribbean food in the DMV area, look no further! They have the BEST veggie patties, cabbage, rice and peas, and plantains around! Everything is full of flavor and hits the spot every single time. I tried the salmon today for the first time, and let me tell you… IT WAS AMAZING! 🤤🔥 The food, the flavors, the quality, you really cannot go wrong here. I recently purchased a meal from Jammin Island, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of what I had come to expect from previous visits. I was disappointed and made my dissatisfaction known. Fast-forward some time, and today I received a personal phone call from the owner apologizing for my experience. For a business owner to take the time to personally reach out, acknowledge a customer's concerns, and express genuine accountability speaks volumes about their character and commitment to their business. While the phone call doesn't change my previous experience, it certainly changes my perception and reinforces my willingness to support the establishment. We could use more business owners and community leaders who demonstrate this level of accountability, humility, and genuine concern for their customers. I will absolutely continue my patronage of Jammin Island, especially knowing that the person behind the business genuinely cares about the quality of what comes out of their establishment and the experience of those who support it. A disappointing experience may cost a business a customer, but genuine accountability can earn back their trust. Much respect to the owner of Jammin Island.
