Avoid ilili - Very disappointing experience at ilili DC. Our server was unpleasant, inattentive, and forgetful. Our party of seven had several questions about the menu, but she seemed uninterested and spoke very quietly, which was especially difficult to hear given how noisy the restaurant was. The only dish our server enthusiastically recommended was the whole chicken, so we ordered the $70 chicken. After waiting patiently for our other, very small plates to arrive, we eventually asked about the chicken to find out that our server had forgotten to place the order. She did not seem particularly concerned and did not offer any solution or attempt to make up for the mistake. Thankfully Nando's was open after our dinner concluded so we were able to enjoy some chicken (and better service). Overall, the portions were very small for the prices, the service was disappointing, and the experience was particularly poor for a larger group. There are much better options in DC.

What a beautiful dining room and Charles, our sever was the best. The drinks don't disappoint, the food was fresh and so full of flavor! I am so glad we chose this place for lunch.
