HalAli's is a halal restaurant on West Main Street in Richmond, a short walk from VCU's Monroe Park campus. Everything served here is halal, all of it, all the time, so there is no separate menu and nothing on the board you have to ask about. The counter serves plates over rice with chicken, gyro, beef or crispy chicken, cheeseburgers, chicken philly and philly cheesesteak, chopped cheese in 8 and 12 inch, kids meals, and Nutella and Biscoff crepes. No alcohol is served. Open every day from 11:00am to 1:30am, one of the later halal kitchens in Richmond, with delivery running to 2:00am. Catering is available for parties, events and corporate orders.

I ordered the lamb and rice bowl. Portion size was great for the money. The rice was really good, and the lamb was not over cooked like some other places that I will not mention. You have the option of lettuce, tomatoes, corn and onions, all of which looked very fresh. There are a bunch of sauce options, I got the white sauce and the red sauce. The guys that run the place are very friendly and service is fast. They also have a really good selection of canned sodas that you don't usually find in stores. Give this place a try.
