Hi 👋🏼 and welcome back. As always tysm for reading my reviews and helping me reach over 11 million views. Those of you who followed before they turned the follow button off 😆 you know I only write if something was good good or terrible. My desire is to help you find places worth writing home about and avoid the ones that would ruin your day. And if something wasn't memorable I usually forget to write. Anyway here's today's review. So, we were over at World Market and needed a quick protein boost. I searched the map for nearby places and got super excited just by the name. Once I clicked on the listing, I saw how many vegan and vegetarian options, which this style of cuisine usually always has, but here they clearly mark it which is great for anyone not familiar with this style of cuisine. This was the first place I've been to that was Egyptian btw. But the cuisine is very much what I would expect, its that Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Greek style foods. What was the best is they had other vegan options I have never seen at many other places. We ended up ordering the mixed grill platter just to give it a try and see if the seasoning was up to what we would expect. We got it with the fries and salad and ordered a side of hummus. 1st of all the food tasted amazing!!!! All the flavors were there. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the spice blend was perfection. The kababs were good as well. I would recommend that the beef kebab be made more tender, it was a tiny but too tough. Otherwise the kebabs were awesome. The chicken and kofta were perfectly tender. The hummus was so good my husband took the whole thing from us and said, "this is mine" 😆 I've never seen him do this. The pita was also warm and tender and was my daughter’s favorite part and she said it was her favorite pita as well. On the way out, we got a chance to meet the owners. They were sweet and welcoming. They saw us leaving and stopped their chat to come say hello and were very appreciative of how much we enjoyed the meal. They informed us everything is made by hand from scratch according to tradition "the way its supposed to be" which we agree. Nothing beats traditional cooking styles. Btw we ordered take out but my daughter liked the feel and wanted to stay and eat together so we did. Always trust a child's guidance, they are usually right. I do recommend that napkins and utensils be made easier to get to. The person working there was so busy we ended up reaching around the counter to grab what we needed. Overall it was a good experience. We will be coming back and bringing friends. I have to try all the vegan and vegetarian options. And the hubby wants more and more kofta. I look forward to trying the drinks and desserts as well. So, that's your review, give it a thumbs up if you like it. And give this place a try! Its worth it!
