Ēma is a Mediterranean restaurant in Chicago’s River North neighborhood showcasing Chef Partner CJ Jacobson’s lighter California style of cooking, plus wine, hand-crafted cocktails and craft beer. The menu features a selection of mezze, Mediterranean small plates, with an emphasis on Hummus & Spreads, Raw, Vegetable and Kebabs. Signature dishes include Hummus w/ Lamb Ragu, Pan-Roasted Romanesque Cauliflower, House-made Stracciatella, Green Falafel with Tzatziki, Grilled Octopus and Lamb & Beef Kefta Kebabs. I’m only giving this place 1 star because I made a reservation for 6:15 and got seated an hour later and the manager apologized but that doesn’t really help, should’ve comped something for the inconvenience whether it’s an app/dessert for making a customer wait that long. Food is great otherwise
