1928 Cuban Bistro - Riverside

Took sometime to visit this location since the other locations were Ehh . Ordered empanadas (bland) , croquetas (8-10) and pastel de guayaba y queso (dough wasn’t cooked all the way ) Cafe con leche and Cuban Coffee were good . Took sometime to get food. I would give this place 7 out of 10 .

I ordered the palomilla steak and eggs. I order the same thing at every location, and this is by far the best one and I am a very picky eater. It was delicious. The price for what you get is unbeatable. $14.95 for a steak, eggs and small salad. Real good food, not frozen corporate slop lol. (I live on the corporate food slop side of town 😭) Even my cappuccino was delicious. This is seriously one of the few places in Jax that has REAL coffee, and not some watered down oversweetened corporate version. It is perfect, and I don’t use that word lightly. Perfect. Now getting to the location is tricky if you’re not walking or parking for 15 min. There is parking nearby with a short walk near the FIS building/riverwalk entrance and you can avoid the garage. Still worth the visit.
