Full disclosure, went in for the lunch buffet-- so it's quite possible the a la carte offerings are better-- but as an Indian food enthusiast, I've got to say this was one of the worst meals I've ever had in Harrisonburg, despite a really kind and friendly front-end staff. "Everything" was bland and under seasoned indistinguishable 'mush', and the few items that weren't were so over salted they were inedible. Even desert (rice pudding) was watery and flavorless, and rice pudding is really really hard to screw up. Before anyone claims I'm being 'overly critical', realize that feedback (particularly in this part of the country where people tend to be polite and just never become return customers) in the restaurant industry is what these businesses live and die on, so I hope whatever issues their kitchen staff seem to be having get resolved soon. Until then, Indian American Cafe knocks it out of the park every single time.
