Rendang Republic

I was so excited to check this spot out but was sadly disappointed. Maybe I went at odd hours like 2 pm so I should try again. We got the beef rendang platter. But the food was lukewarm, fried rice is mushy, the meat was tender but not much flavors and the chips were stale. Maybe during lunch or dinner hours it could be better?

Finally tried this place for lunch and really wish I’d come sooner. Got the beef rendang plate with red sambal, a pandan latte, and the durian crème brûlée. The beef was super tender and full of flavor, and the sambal added a nice kick without being too spicy. The pandan latte was creamy and sweet, and the crème brûlée was something different in a good way. The place was clean and cozy, and the staff was friendly and quick even when it got busy. Definitely want to come back and try the fried chicken sandwich next.

Finally checked this spot out for lunch and man it lived up to everything I heard. Tried the beef rendang tacos plus the chicken satay and a pandan latte. That rendang was so tender and rich deep warm spices not just heat and the taco shells had such a nice crunch to em. Super cozy inside small but bright and clean and the staff were so chill they explained the sambal options and gave extra on the side no problem. Already know I am coming back for that durian crème brûlée next time.
