We went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch, expecting to have a pleasant meal. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. After ordering and eating some complimentary chips, we had an unexpected emergency and had to leave much sooner than planned. I immediately explained the situation to our waitress and even offered to pay for the chips we ate. She asked me to wait while she spoke with the manager. Couple minutes after, the manager appeared and her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of showing understanding for an unexpected emergency, the situation became an argument about paying for food that had not even been fully prepared or served. We ordered 3 dishes and the manager appeared with two of them in a rushed manner, apparently to justify charging us for the order. Even after explaining the emergency, we still had to wait for the food to be packed, wait for the bill, and go through the entire process before we could finally leave. What was even more disappointing was being told that we had to pay for the food because otherwise the waitress would have to pay for it herself. That is not an appropriate way to handle a customer who is experiencing an emergency, especially when the order was not fully prepared or served. Emergencies happen, and we understand that restaurants have policies. However, how a business treats customers during an unexpected situation says a lot about its customer service. We were hoping for understanding and professionalism, but unfortunately, that was not our experience.
