The food was good but the service was horrendous. It took forever to get food/drinks and the restaurant was mostly empty. Even at the end, we asked for our check four times and still didn’t get it.

Absolutely terrible experience. In Ethiopian culture, sharing food and Gursha—feeding one another as a sign of respect and hospitality—is at the very core of who we are. My friend, who is not Ethiopian, just wanted to sample a single small bite of collard greens to try the food, but the waiter came over and rudely insisted we weren't allowed to share. To make matters worse, the waiter stood right in front of our table watching me the entire rest of the time. It was so uncomfortable that I couldn't even finish my meal. I had to pack everything up to-go and leave immediately. On top of the completely unwelcoming and hostile service, the food itself was disappointing. As an Ethiopian, I was deeply saddened by how cold and unhospitable this place was. I definitely won't be back.
