Afghan Corner

Had the chicken sandwich for lunch today. Great flavors, massive portions. I’m excited to try more of their menu!

This was a nice find, excellent Afghan dishes at a very reasonable price. It can be a little difficult to find, as it is part of a multi-kitchen concept (some call these ghost kitchens) of restaurants under one roof called Beacon Kitchen rather than a stand-alone establishment. That is the only reason I scored the atmosphere a bit low, but the building itself is very clean and nice with the kitchen spaces visible to you. These concepts are mostly geared toward takeout, but Afghan Corner does offer a dine-in option if desired. I did not see the dine-in area, it's possible there is a seating area somewhere off the lobby. We walked in not quite knowing what to expect, and were quickly greeted by one of the staff, who helped us through our order. There is an online ordering option; Walk-ins can place an order directly with the staff. We elected to take our dinner to a nearby park and enjoy a nice evening. Thank you Afghan Corner for a delicious meal and an enjoyable evening.

This is the best place to have dinner in Charlottesville. Very polite and friendly owner. And the food was amazing! I ordered most of their menu items and all of it was awesome I couldn’t choose. Would definitely recommend and I will be back!
